In 2022, Kevin, along with his then business partner Matthew Alexander and colleague Adrian Hogan, embarked on an exciting journey through their co-founded business, Ascher Bespoke Creations. They seized the opportunity to feature on the hit television series Outback Opal Hunters. Initially planning to star as buyers in a memorable scene negotiating with two miners for rough opal, they found themselves presented with a unique opportunity. The miners trusted Kevin and the team to take the king stone of a parcel for free, in exchange for transforming it into a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry to be auctioned off in the metaverse.

The opal, expertly cut by Adrian, revealed itself to be an extraordinarily rare piece of opalized wood. Given the stone's unique free-form shape, Kevin devised a design that harmonized with its natural flow, skillfully balancing it through a combination of illusion and standard claw settings, with the claws fashioned in the elegant style of fleur-de-lis. Crafting the final piece required over 100 hours of collaborative effort from the team. Ultimately, it found its home with a crypto buyer in the United States, fetching a remarkable $42,000 AUD.
